I've told my story of how I ended up following CU from SoCal in 1998. This site became a place to talk about other things besides cluttering up the FB board with OT stuff. Back then we had a chat room too and we utilized it and went there and made "friends" way before Face Book. We even had special Thursday night chats for us all to gather and talk to each other at the same time. This was before Sports Wars took over the site. So then after Smitty was gone and SW took over, we started to gather here and it did become political very quickly when Clinton was still president and was impeached and there was Monica, etc. That's how this all took off. But we still kept up to date on each other and our personal lives we shared and I will never forget all the love and support I got from everyone when our son took sick and passed away. We were like an extended family....we "knew" each other. We didn't always agree, far from it...just like all families we had our differences but we still cared about each other.

GWB had his supporters and his detractors. Obama was a topic on fire right out of the gate with the conservatives and his supposed muslim faith and he not being born in the USA according to them. And now we are here with trump and the fighting and lack of "civility" is at an all time high.

I love this new slogan I just found on a dem. site..."when they go low, we go Joe!" And we will not give up until this "administration" is gone for good.

That is our story and that is why people that didn't go to CU or had other ties to CU ended up here. I doubt just anyone from the cyber sphere wanders in here and begins posting unless they are russian bots.
