People don't want differing viewpoints, they want reaffirmation of their own opinions.
People don't want dialogue, they want to silence those who see things differently.
People don't want to listen, they want to hear themselves and talk past each other.
People don't want civility, they want outrage and offense.
People don't want to respect, they want to brand and denigrate.
People don't want to tolerate, they want to cancel.

The enjoyment I get from this site are the occasions when I have the opportunity to read and learn from posters who want to engage in intelligent discussion. I commend those like churdslick, Jeff Gerardi, Winning Leadership, buffhooper, Back in Black, Toker, hawg (occasionally ;) and others with whom I obviously disagree politically, but who are here to thoughtfully and meaningfully engage.

What it comes down to, there's really no point in using this as a forum to spew your own biases. Perhaps you think if you enter it in the public domain it carries more meaning, but the fact is none of us benefits from repetitive and predictable demogoguery. I'm not singling you out csw, we're all guilty of it.

One last word, if CUKev is banned from the site, I'm done here too. Call it my Jimmy Chitwood moment.
