I won a WC case against the hospital I worked for...

it took months and I didn't get much because the injury due to tendonitis was so minor, I could have still worked, just not doing that task which caused a "repetitive motion" type injury to my right arm. Their own doctor diagnosed it when I went to have it checked at the direction of management. But instead of working with me and the doctors that were caring for me, they wanted to force me out and to resign. Purely vindictive. That's when I sought out a lawyer and started the long drawn out process which got them all into BIG trouble and were later let go, two escorted out in front of everyone. I've told the story before but it never gets old for me because they didn't need to fight me over something that would have got better over probably a shorter period of time then the whole mess that dragged out. The more pressure they put on me to resign, the more pissed off I got and stayed and continued to work. After I won my case, also covered "life time" although I have no clue how to get care for it even if that was part of the award. And I do have continuing issues with my arm/hand as I age. After another year, I resigned because the director just couldn't seem to stop her harassing me and SHE was the one re-assigned after I was gone but at least she still had a job, not the one she loved and was proud of though. More of a demotion. The other two that were terminated were really collateral damage because they were only following her instructions and never treated me badly.

Workers Comp claims are very difficult to pursue unless they are major injuries or deaths on the job.
