Is wearing a seatbelt living in fear?

I just don’t get it, wearing a mask is just not that big a frickin deal.
I would like to think I am wearing my mask because I am protecting myself. Same reason a person might have a gun in their house. I don’t see it as fear. Being ignorant to a danger isn’t really fearlessness. And, again, we aren’t talking about walking around in a quarantine suit. It’s a stupid little mask. IVe got 5 nicer masks:car, kitchen, upstairs, office and spare. If I walk out without it, I don’t feel scared. I just feel like I made An error and I go back and get it.
I don’t know what Cain’s thought process was, but he was pretty adamant on social media that he would never wear a mask. The defiance makes me think he was trying to prove a point. Is the point that he isn’t scared? Or he thought the virus is a hoax?
People who are equating masks with fear are wrong.
