IMO baseball is dying for three reasons
1) Kids born in the last 30 (or so) years have grown up with the same babysitter- video games. Their addiction to electronic devices has caused them to need constant stimulation. Baseball does not fill that need.
2) Spending years riding a bus and staying in cheap hotels in the minors doesn't begin to compare to the instant star treatment college football and basketball players receive.
3) IMO baseball is a harder game to master and a kid can't just rely on his superior speed, size, and strength. Baseball skills have to be developed and even a great athlete can look foolish on a baseball diamond. [Post edited by CUKev at 07/05/2020 5:49PM]
