Sadly, I caught myself watching some cornhole tournament

on one of the sports networks a few weeks ago. I had to slap myself and sit through a stern self-lecture about reviving my hobbies, interests, and zest for life. Thankfully, that led to the decision to try and make my brain more of a covid, protester, and political free zone. Which has meant trying to stay away from almost everything with the four letter word NEWS. It's tough to do, but I'm fighting the good fight.

I have since been going ATV riding and horseback riding. I'm going kayak fishing this 4th of July early Saturday morning and we're having a family picnic in the evening, then after dark we are going to have a family home pyrotechnic display. I have prepped my 5th wheel for a boondocking camping trip in 2 weeks with a woman who I re-discovered is my wife (just joking). And one of my sons and his grown sons wants to meet up with me later this summer in Idaho for some camping and fishing.

I do have an excuse for sinking so low - I had quad bypass surgery in March. Long walks and workout sessions at home have helped me get back on my feet. Now I'm a new, old man. I just need a 2020 college football season to top it all off (I had to mention college football so others wouldn't tell me to go to the OTB). Thanks to all you NB posters for trying to keep us informed and interested in college football.
