Hi Gate

The younger the student the more they need actual contact with both the teacher and other students. A good teacher can construct an online curriculum but they need so much more. My son teaches us and he knew who got something and those who treated it as a vacation.
And yes, he has a contract. If school opens in August, He's in for the year, open or closed. If they Don't open, I guess it would be up to the district on how to handle it.There would be a boatload of retirement and career changes.
