Respectfully disagree -

Don't get too hung up on the First Round issue. 4 of the Denver Nuggets top 7 scorers (Craig, Millsap, Barton, and Morris) were drafted in the second round and the Nuggets are one of the best teams in the league. Just saying.

Sure first round picks get guaranteed contracts, but that doesn't mean you can't make bank. Is it a gamble? You bet, but you only need one team to take a chance. Look at Spencer Dinwiddie and Andre Roberson. Spencer gambled on himself, went in the second round with a bad injury. His theory was that he would get better help in rehabbing and development with a parent team, and he got it. I felt Andre should have stayed (I was wrong), but he found that one team that had a place for him and gambled on him late in the first round. Most had him going in the second round IIRC.

Are there a lot of guys that should stay in school that don't? Sure, but I don't think Bey has much to gain by staying. He will likely be earning a living playing basketball for the next 10 years. He is likely close to getting his degree anyway. What is he studying?

He could go to Europe and make decent money if he wanted. Cory Higgins is making $2M this season in Barcelona.
