Why I am optimistic on that front

We will emerge from this with a far better sense of compassion as a people. Our commitment to family and friends and neighbors has already grown immensely.

The worries you hint at are there. If these stay in shelter rules are meant to flatten and stretch the curve - just when are restaurants and concerts and old fashion commerce going to be ok? The better we are right now at stay in shelter and social distancing compliance - the sooner those salad days come back. I am hopeful that after three months we are there.

But either way - we will emerge from this more committed to each other. In the end - fear will be overtaken by compassion and hope.
