My adrenaline was pumping on over drive last week...

and I started to clean out all my canned, dry, etc. goods in my pantries. To throw out old and label the tops with a sharpie the expiration dates of the ones I was keeping. And now this week, big let down and I just want to kick back. Meanwhile, cans all over the kitchen counter and in the back room in some bins. I have a lot of rice mixes and pasta, mostly spaghetti.

How long do you keep your stuff and still use it if the "best by" date expires. In the old days, people used old canned items without any problem, especially if you boil them when heating. I have a ton of canned beans, etc.
