The social distancing pitch was sold

Not as virus prevention but as spike prevention. Theoretically it was supposed to work if implemented for 14 days. A lot of people bought in (majority +30 I would venture). Not with partisan intent whatsoever. The economy tanked.. cool that was expected. We’ll recover when it passes. Now it’s 8 weeks, now it’s 22 weeks, now it might be till the end of the year- don’t want to risk an unexpected spike in the fall!

Is it prevention of mitigation? That’s the simple question.
