My dream CU Football Team to beat any opponent on a neutral

I have entirely too much time on my hands with no March Madness/NBA/Etc. Hence my personal selections for the Ultimate CU Football team to play No #1 ranked opponent (X) on a neutral in perfect weather.

HC- ‘89 Bill McCartney- old school Buffs still talk about how would have run thru walls for Mac. This version of the Buffs would be absolutely relentless for all 4 quarters with Mac as HC. We will need to count on our OC/DC’s to come up with the proper halftime adjustments as I have been told this is Mac’s biggest shortcoming.
Offense: 2001 Version/Multiple IMHO, this was the most dominant offense CU fielded in the last 30 years. Hence Shaun Watson will be our OC.

QB 95 Koy Detmer (Pre ACL) “Wonder Koy” was every bit as good as his big brother (who won a Heisman). Koy had a Payton Manningish command of the offense & Montana-like passing accuracy. This is a pro-style offense so a scrambler is not needed.. Before Koy blew out his ACL, he was on fire!
2nd String QB- 03 Joel Klatt- Before his injuries. IMHO JK was more accurate with his ball placement than Kordell/Darian.. Kordell seemed to have a bit of the butterflies in too many huge games (NU 93/94) & wasn’t amazing @ reading defenses.

1 RB ‘94 Rashaan- (RIP) Heisman winner/Also great @ pass protection (see The Catch)
2 RB 02 Chris Brown.. If CB had Rashaan’s ‘94 team..? Would he have had more yards/TD’s? Possibly? Dude ran for figgen 6 TD’s against NU!
3. Phillip Lindsay ‘17. —- Sorry EB.. PL held the ball.
FB’ 01 Brandon Drumn was the best traditional FB in CU history.

LT Nate Soldier ‘10 Outland Finalist - 1st round draft pick
LG Andre Gurode ‘01 First Team AA
Center Bryan Stoltenberg (RIP) ‘95 First team AA from Quote from Rashaan “I was the one who won all those awards but without my offensive line, that would have never happened’. I always believed that those awards were honoring all of us and Stoli being the center was the heart of that great offensive line”.
2nd string Center Jay Leeuwenburg 90’
RG- ‘96 Chris Naeole 1st Team AA & Award Winner for team’s most outstanding offensive player
2nd String RG Joel Garten- AA 89/90
Right Tackle David Bakhtiari ‘12 Too good to not start
2nd string RT ‘ Victor Rogers ‘01

TE Daniel Graham’01 Mackey Award Winner
2nd TE 94 Christian Furia

The WR core was the most challenging to define 1st/2nd string

WR- Michael Westbrook’94 - First team AA
WR- LaViska (preinjuries ‘18). Before Viska got hurt in ‘18.. Was getting major support for the Heisman.
2nd String Mike Pritchard ‘90 - top 15 draft pick for a reason
Paul Richardson- school record for receiving yards in a season.
Slot Receiver- Rae Carruth’96. 1st team AA. Imagine what Rae would have done in the slot?
2nd String Nelson Spruce

QB Coach - 94 slick Rick Neuheisel
RB Coach - 01 Eric Bienemy
WR Coach 93 Karl Dorrell- Coached Westbrook and Charles E Johnson to 1K seasons in the same year,
TE Coach Jon Embree’01
OL Coach - Tom Cable ‘01

Defense is to follow
