A 60% effective vaccine

That was widely administered would drastically slow influenza. It would mean more than half the population won’t get it or spread it.

Influenza strains are not typically novel.the H# represents the proteins used to gain access to the cell and the N# represents the ones used to get out. After 20+ years of receiving flu shots I think I have some immune response ready for whatever influenza strain pops up. Certainly doesn’t mean I won’t get sick, but mooned immune system has seen this virus before and a family of virus (Corona) is different than strains (Influenza).
