Colo. Springs had some good teams in the '70s

I graduated in '82 and it seemed like the best teams at that time were north of Denver. The best C.S. teams in the early '80s were typically Widefield, Doherty, and Mitchell but they wouldn't get past the second round of the state tournament. We would have had a really good team at Mitchell my senior year but our best big man (Marcus Johnson) moved to Lakewood. Still had Sherlock Holmes and some other good players but not enough to get far in the tourney.
