It wasnt really a full press more of a halfcourt trap


and the scheme to beat a 131 is pretty universal, and simple really. the weak spots are the corners, so you go with a 2 guard front, get ball to corners and then if bottom guy closes out to corner you go to post flashing to the block, or if wing defender closes you go back to wing, and then ball reversal, post up, or even diagonal pass. 131 is high risk high reward D, which is why most teams dont run it. Once you get the 131 zone moving there are always glaring gaps to attack

I would think with the experience Tad has on the bench they repped how to attack that zone, I just think the maybe the kids puckered up a bit and forgot how to execute it.
