Same story on offense

Credit UNI. Made shots and ran a tremendous play w/ 7 left on shot clock to tie it. I don't want to overreact because i do think UNI is good team but it's a shame this team has regressed since last year. It's really inexcusable.

For CU, just too many empty possessions especially for an experienced team. That 19-0 run at end of first/beginning of 2nd, probably cost us the game. We easily could have led by 10 at half, but turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. At one point we had 2 straight steals that we immediately turned over right back to UNI. We refuse to push the pace at home which is completely mind boggling. Can we throw an outlet pass up the court a few times, instead of just passing it out sideways? These guys continue to avoid making the simple play and opt for difficult, ill advised passes.

Tyler Bey is at his best slashing to basket or shooting mid-range. Why do we continue to post him up w/ his back to basket when it results in a turnovers almost all the time. And if we post bey up, can he immediately face up the defender and get in triple threat position?

Outside of Parquet, can you name a single player who has improved from last year? Our high preseason ranking/expectations were based on a team that returned all players and finished last year on high note. It's really unfortunate that we have regressed. Don't know why, or how. I feel like players focused on wrong things in the off season. Why is Bey practicing his 3 point shot 2 hours before the game(sights on NBA look foolish right now)? he should be working on post moves and mid range game. Kin worked w/ Dame in off season but honestly, i don't see any benefits of that. Outside of tonight, Siewert hasn't shot well, neither has Gatling, and Kountz hasn't added a better shot, better defense or ball handling skills.

I listened to Tad on Mel's podcast and one thing struck me. When Tad talked recruiting he said the line about not wanted guys to rent the CU jersey. it was good line but he followed that up with what I thought was a shocking recruiting statement. He kind of conceded recruiting to other schools basically saying CU wasn't going to out recruit teams so they had to out evaluate em. All i could think of after that statement was thank god Mel doesn't think that way.

Lose to Rams on Saturday which wouldn't shock me and this season takes on a much different turn. I told some ppl before marymount game that i thought CU would finish around 5/6th in pac 12. I might have been optimistic. Can't beat ASU, stanford, az, oregon, udub playing like we are and i'm not sure we can beat use, Oregon st, utah and maybe even UCLA.

Staff and players need to do some soul searching and get this fixed!!!!!!
