Absolutely
Stanford is beatable, and I'd say we matchup better with them than some of the teams we've played so far. They tend to sit on a lead, which might help us stay with a gameplan.
I'm 100% in agreement with you that we need to run Montez. For crying out loud, we have nothing to lose by implementing the offensive gameplan we had for UO in 2016, which we saw glimpses of in the USC game as you point out. He may not look like a running threat, but look at the results when we run SM compared with the results when we sit him in the pocket. We've seen other coaching staffs come out with unexpected gameplans before. Hankwitz used to do it on the defensive side all the time, and take teams completely by surprise. It's about time we caught a team off guard.
And how about the momentum it would build in recruiting, too - showing recruits a program that doesn't quit, that's going to offer early playing time, in a setting that's hard to beat. Saturday is definitely a good opportunity to end the slump we've been in for the most part of two years, maybe even three, and change the momentum as the season winds down.
