Can't imagine China will be in any hurry to resolve its trade war with the.

U.S. knowing impeachment hearings will last awhile, likely weigh on consumer and business confidence, negatively impact an already underperforming economy and raise the odds Trump is a one-term president. I think the only reason China strikes a meaningful deal with Trump - heightening his chances for reelection - is because Trump's impulsive and poorly-conceived foreign policy initiatives (i.e., getting out of TPP and ceding all that Asian business to China, alienating virtually all of our allies, wanting to get blowup NATO, starting a war with Iran or North Korea and so on) has made China stronger on the world stage at the expense of America. The Chinese may be willing to absorb more nasty tweets from our sociopath-in-chief if it means the U.S. will be much weaker as a result. For the Chinese, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.
