This week I was fortunate enough to watch 2 back to back 1994 CU games

Everyone remembers the Miracle at Michigan but what is even more impressive was the way the Buffs responded the following week. Remember, they are playing two top programs in a row on the road.

I was there in Austin Tx that day, the Temp gage they had set up in the South End Zone read 105 degrees.

Read article from NY Times:
After their moment last week, when the Colorado Buffaloes exhausted a supply of superlatives on one unforgettable play at Michigan Stadium, everything they achieve must now be redefined. One week later, with the eyes and the heat of Texas upon them, the Buffaloes preserved their unlikely perfect season under relatively mundane circumstances.

They beat Texas, 34-31, on a game-winning field goal with one second to play, with a tipped pass to Michael Westbrook -- by now, Colorado's signature of kismet -- part of the decisive drive.

"We just made history," said a reserved Rashaan Salaam, the tailback who ran for 317 yards. With Salaam responsible for 61 of the 73 yards on the final drive, the Buffaloes manufactured a deliberate, almost calm approach that led to Neil Voskeritchian's 24-yard field goal with a second left. Salaam's total, achieved despite cramps in his back that temporarily took him out of the game, became the most rushing yards against the Longhorns in 102 seasons of Texas football, and the second most in Colorado history.

Colorado (4-0) outgained Texas, 506 yards to 320. Herchell Troutman, a freshman tailback who gained 35 yards when Salaam was out of the game, scored on touchdown runs of 3, 7 and 2 yards, the last of which gave Colorado a 10-point lead with 7 minutes 40 seconds to play.
Looking back this was one if the most impressive performances I’ve ever witnessed from an OL Berti Stoltenberg, Irwin, Fauria, can’t remember all of em right now.

Salaam 317 yards just kept pounding a good Texas team into submission. Salaam received 3 ivs to keep hydrated during the game that day.

The Miracle was fun to watch but I just can’t get this game out of my head right now.

Mel says we need to run the Ball! I agree.
