Hired the wrong coach


I had a buddy who is a knowledgeable Boise fan. I thought he’d be bummed we grabbed Hawkins and he said it would have only bothered him if Petersen went with. In the know Boise fans knew full well that Petersen was the brains/creativity responsible for much of Boise’s success. I chalked it up to him just rationalizing initially but it became clear quickly Hawk was full of BS. Still remember the Post headline after MSU, “ Hawk crashes.” It’s funny looking back on that now but i was pissed at the time.

Somehow Hawk was able to top that blowing the big lead at KU, but I still believe OSU last year by MM was among worst ever losses...
