I will never forget hitting a baseball back in 1975 when I moved to Denver from Aspen. I was at 2nd and Peoria on a softball field. Slow pitch softball practice and I stepped to the plate. You talk about exit velocity. And when I threw a slider it didn't break. That's what I believe is the problem, hanging breaking balls. All professional hitters can hit a fastball at any speed but the changeups are what keep you off balance. And if that changeup isn't doing its job you sit on that one pitch the fastball. Every batter in this league goes to the plate looking for just one pitch to hit. Ask all 25 Rockie hitters and they will all tell you that. It's not going to ever change here, enjoy all the teams that visit because we've got major league baseball.
