Too many other options for men


In the US, sports like football, basketball, etc. take a huge percentage of the best athletes. In most foreign countries, soccer gets most of the best athletes.

The pay gap between men’s and women’s pro soccer players is due largely to a popularity gap (like the NBA and WNBA). In Utah, we have Real Salt Lake (men) and Utah Royals (women). Average attendance for the men is about double that of the women. It is what it is. Authors who write best-selling books make more money than authors who flop, and gender doesn’t matter.
