1) The “I believe we will win” mantra seems nonsensical when you’re the heavy favorite to win.

2) If the team (especially the outspoken players like Rapinoe) want to make a statement about equal rights, then they should refuse to take the field against countries where women (and people in general) are oppressed. If the USWNT played Saudi Arabia or North Korea or any number of countries with extensive human rights abuses, would Rapinoe refuse to play?? Doubtful considering she has played against China multiple times. Boycotting the WH is chickenshit.
