So glad you like to talk Nuggets
I have the same questions you do.
They have no second-round picks for the next few years I read. While they could trade into the draft for a guy they love, it would cost them a future first and I don't know who would be worth it. Or they would have to trade a player. Don't see that unless some team loved Will Barton or Juancho.
They definitely need a skilled big wing, and a physical, skilled 4 man or backup center (not big on Tom Welsh).
I like Middleton but he will be outside of Denver's budget. Plus Murray is going to want to get paid his bank soon.
Horford would be great but he'll want big cash. He opted out for it.
I personally like Plumlee. Great attitude, great motor, does the little things. Denver overpaid for him in the trade but he's a winner in my book.
Personally I'd love the Nuggets to show some onions and try to improve the toughness and defense of this team. I like the potential of this roster plus the new contributions from Porter and Vanderbilt yet more is needed to be great in the playoffs.
They were one game from the Western Conference Finals (where they would have been promptly dismissed) and one game from losing the first round series with the Spurs.
I'd love a trade for Bradley Beal, dishing Murray and Harris (I know most Nuggets fans would have a meltdown over that; hey, I love those guys too) and then look to find that 3 & D remedy and rugged 4 man in FA or a trade using current assets. Think big, not passive, which is what I expect they will do.
