I think his injury was really hurting his swing. He is definitely coming on
Definitely miss DJ but I know JB wanted to save money and have a spot open for Brendan Rodgers and Ryan McMahon. McMahon shows flashes offensively but is a slow learner. Hoping he proves high-quality starter ability soon. His D is shaky. Like you said, Rodgers D needs work too but I love how he's holding his own offensively in his first 9 or 10 games. Has to do wonders for his confidence. The Rockies need him to play up to the hype and be an All-Star caliber bat or just below that level. Wolters is off to a great start. Ianetta has given them some pop. So getting some value from the catchers. Need Dahl to start producing. His average is ok but where are the extra-base hits, the power, and the RBI. I want to see more out of Tapia too. He's doing good work but there's more productivity to untap with him. The starting pitching, which I thought would be a strength, is ugly. Basically they have two reliable starters right now. Lambert is a ways away and Rico Garcia is still in Double A. The Rockies need at least two more reliable starters.
