Although I should note that UGa/Tech is last game of reg season...

so by that point UGa defense should already be comfortable with their standard D scheme, so a week of prep for a radically different offense is unlikely to mess them up.

Also, many UGa players would have had experience with their TO offense from prior year's games. AF's offense will probably be new to all the CU players (at least since they left high school).

Defending against the O is different in one significant way: standard D is mostly "attack the ball". Option D is mainly "attack your man."

One reason I think a rare school (but not too many) can be successful with the TO today is that many defenses are so unfamiliar with it, and so find it difficult to get out of the mindset that they have to be in when facing more "traditional" offenses.
