I've never been a fan of the lottery........


Did a team ever really tank their season to guarantee the #1 pick in a draft? I remember back when Shaquille O'Neil went to Orlando when Orlando was the highest finisher in the lottery. I think if they felt a team was tanking a season they should be fined and that would take care of the lottery. The NHL would never have let a fly over state to get the first pick like this year. If you have to have a lottery then it should be the worst three teams.
