I guess colleges don't teach business ethics anymore

It's disgusting. I'm sure most of those profits float to the top, too. My wife is a certified MA in a large, regional hospital. Her hourly pay is literally $1 an hour more than our son who stocks Pepsi. The "managers" and doctors make enormous sums of money.

I'm no expert but IMO free market principles don't apply well to the world of health care because the product or service often determines life or death. The provider can charge whatever they want and people will pay it. We're not talking about haircuts. My brother-in-laws MS medication costs a few thousand dollars a month. Ridiculous...but does he pay it?? Of course.
