CU missed big time on Sterling's Bodie Hume---freshman of the year in..
.. in the Big Sky for Northern Colorado. 6'6, athletic and plenty of room on his frame. He went to Sterling, where Xavier Talton went. He was 3A player of the year for Colorado last year. CU and CSU both missed on him.l He played QB for their football team.
He is shooting 38% from 3 point range. We should've looked at him and at least tried to get him as a preferred walk-on.
Colbey Ross from Eaglecrest in the starting point guard for Pepperdine and is their leading scorer. He would work great in tandem with Wright. CU showed no interest.
There are other good local players, that can shoot it, that CU has not looked at. Adam Thistlewood, from Golden, is a 6'6 freshman at CSU shot 38% on 3's this season.
Justinian Jessup, from Longmont, 6'6 starting point guard for Boise St the last 3 years has shot over 40% on 3's and averaged 14 this year.
That's two pgs with size and 2 wings with length that can shoot it and CU did not show interest. Those 4 guys can probably out shoot anyone CU has except for maybe Gatling in terms of pure shooting.
There are others that I may be leaving out.
Kenny Foster 6'4, Smoky Hill, who is going to Wyoming. is more of a Kountz style slasher who likes the ball in his hand. He is very good, but may be more suited to Wyoming than CU. He is not a pure shooter, but he's decent from 3. [Post edited by The Midnight Toker at 03/16/2019 8:29PM]
