Like Trump, you're suggesting all Democrat presidential candidates are in..

favor of more extreme, far left positions. Any high school civics student knows this is not true, there are significant policy differences among the numerous Democratic candidates and that a party platform will be created only after a candidate has been determined. Implying all Democrats are in favor of free four-year colleges or medicare for all and raising the tax rates on wealthy individuals to 70% to pay for it all is disingenuous. It would be like saying all Republicans are in favor of unwinnable trade wars or possessing assault weapons. Simply untrue and speaks of desperation. However, it's obvious a major theme among all the Democratic candidates is income inequality. If you've done your homework you know income inequality is among the biggest problems facing America now. When you see comments reinforcing this harsh reality from old school Republicans like Fed chairman Jerome Powell you know it's an issue for the entire country, not just the poor. I expect the Democratic candidates in the months ahead to provide more details on how they want to address income inequality and other important issues. Cutting taxes for corporations and the super wealthy at the expense of lower and middle class Americans (Trump's tax legislation), by the way, exacerbates income inequality rather than reducing it. If their platform becomes too extreme (in terms of raising taxes on the wealthy), it obviously enhances the chances for an independent which would attract centrist voters like me. I can assure you, however, the final Democratic platform will involve much more reality-based expertise than the "Cut everyone's taxes, reduce the deficit, provide better and cheaper healthcare, increase military spending, grow the economy at 5% and protect medicare and social security" unrealistic campaign promises that Donald Trump conned many Americans into believing somehow he could deliver on three years ago.
