NO excuse for people not to understand taxes. Civic duty.

although I know saying that is naive on my part. But with TurboTax and other inexpensive tax programs there is no excuse.

IMO, it was a ploy by the Senate to sway votes in the direction of the Republicans. It may have worked on some folks, but not enough.

As soon as Trump announced it, I changed my withholding so that my taxes were near even on whether I got a refund or not. I owe IRS about $125 and Colorado owes me about $450. I told my kids to do the same. My son's wife wouldn't change hers, so their taxes are all screwed up because she doesn't understand the math behind it at all.

I am an informed citizen and I'm not angry at the IRS or Trump because I had the right to be informed and make a counter move.

People who didn't pay attention and didn't change anything, well, that's on them.
