I think some overdo withholding so they don't worry about

1. needing to come up with a chunk in April
2. an IRS audit--not that that is likely.

I haven't heard about anybody wanting withholding as a future bonus, but that might be.

These taxpayers are also voters. Let's hope they remember when at the polls how their tax cuts worked out for them. I doubt if the 1% had issues with their taxes.

Do you know if the people who are paying more now are offset by people paying less?
