If tad gets to the sweet 16 either this year or next (heck just get in to the tourney) then I agree he is then entrenched as coach, and should be.

But if he cant get to the dance through next year that would be 4 years (an entire recruiting cycle) without NCAA tourney. Coaches get evaluated on results, and even for you Phil, that has to be piss poor results and definitely something that would get just about every coach at a P6 school fired.
Why should CU be different. Is the bar of success in Boulder so low that losing (yes missing the dance is losing) year after year is OK?

This is big boy basketball and Tad is making seven figures. If you dont get the job done, you are gone. Doesnt mean he isnt a good coach, just means he didn't get results.
