You're not seeing the multi year contracts as much as in the past.....


Harper and Machado will get them because they are very young but if you're closing in on 30 and expect to get a 5 year deal it might not happen in this new era of baseball contracts. LeMahieu got 2 years, Dozier got 1 year, Grandal got 1 year. What they all have in common is their ages are near 30 - 31. Third base is loaded with talent in the MLB today and therefore three are fewer needs there. First Base is weak along with second base. It will be interesting to see how this works out. The Rox are in it big time this year, we'll see.
