Don't think Patton ever fought in Italy.


His troops fought in North Africa and Sicily. After that he went to England to prepare for the Normandy Invasion. After D-Day his 3rd Army did roll through France and Germany until V-E Day on 5/8/45. He was certainly one of best, though.
