Re: The future of the P12

I sure don't have the business acumen in the pay TV world to make suggestions that may resolve the problems and keep revenues coming into the conference and schools. However, it doesn't take any business savvy to know something can be done a lot better than it is now when the Big 10 and SEC networks get into 60 million homes and the Pac 12 network gets into 17.5 million homes. Scott makes a lot of money and spends a lot of money, and the Pac 12 is lagging way behind other conferences. That points to a leadership problem from my point of view. He either needs to take care of business or the conference needs to find leadership who can take care of business.

Results are what matters. The same occurred with the Colorado football program. There were two 5-7 seasons following a 10 win season. The recent 5-7 season included a complete disaster losing to a 1-6 team on homecoming with a 31-3 lead in the 3rd quarter among 7 losses in a row. I believe the team lost 10 games in a row where a victory would have given them bowl eligibility. It was pretty clear the coaching staff included several coaches who were not getting even an adequate job done. I know a lot more about football than pay TV and the results described strongly suggested a change in leadership was necessary.

Results are what matters. It looks like the Pac 12 Conference needs new leadership.
