I do remember steady rebuilding of the program, to national recognition of the coach, until we get to last year, when the lack of recruiting has its ultimate cost, and we start to fall apart.

I know folks (I think including you) wanted to fire him after one year. I stood with the notion that you can’t do anything for three or four years, without costing the University the inability to hire a good replacement. Maybe I was wrong.
