The movie was good! But the book is a masterpiece! Also...

a few years before he died he wrote The Largesse of the Sea Maiden, a great short story collection. The story that carries the title was published in the New Yorker and it's a pretty marvelous read. Modern-day Odysseus. I recommend it to everyone when the discussion turns to books and writing!
